Our Summer Internship programme provides high-calibre undergraduates in their penultimate year with an opportunity to experience life and work at BDO in a stream and location of their choice. The internship also provides you with the opportunity to secure a place on our graduate programme.
You will be given a useful insight into our business and will be given a real taste of life at the heart of the firm, working on interesting projects alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals.
As the internships can be a spring board into a full time career with us, it is important that all candidates can demonstrate an understanding of the role and the attributing professional qualifications.
Our internship programme lasts six weeks – running from mid-July to late August each year – and provides you with an opportunity to experience real client work while developing employability skills including team work, communication and commercial awareness.

In line with our 2017 Trainee Programme entry requirements for our Graduate Programme candidates must have, or be on course for the following grades (or international equivalent):
- A minimum 2.2 degree in any discipline
- 3 A levels at grades A*- C, excluding General Studies and Extended Projects. Or 5 Highers/National 6 at grade B or better
- A* - C at GCSE in Maths & English Language. Or Scottish Standard's/National 5 at grade C or better
