As a Financial Services Advisory Consultant you will work on a wide variety of clients from banking institutions, to asset managers, insurers and capital markets firms. You will be involved in a range of projects across the regulatory spectrum and be a key member of teams consulting on risk & regulatory, compliance and internal audit matters. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the ever changing regulatory environment and will consult on conduct of business and prudential issues. You will provide assurance to our clients that their arrangements fit the expectations of their regulator (be it FCA, PRA or other) and will look to critically evaluate the arrangements they currently have in place with a view to recommending improvements and/or efficiencies.

As part of a growing sector you will have opportunities to work with cross divisional teams and will deliver bespoke solutions tailored to our clients’ individual needs. You will be encouraged to continuously develop your career and will be expected to study for and complete the ACA or other applicable qualifications. Business Area Overview

Understanding and documenting the arrangements of our clients and matching these to appropriate best practice.

Assisting members of the internal audit, compliance and prudential teams and providing support on regulatory assignments.

Identifying and understanding client needs, including sometimes providing initial solutions to client challenges, then communicating these needs and solutions to a senior member of the team.

Having the confidence and skill to interpret and discuss governance and regulatory principles with senior stakeholders.

Staying abreast of regulatory developments driving the industry and key issues affecting regulated firms so as to anticipate and understand the impact of such developments on clients. Building internal and external relationships and networks. Assisting in putting together proposal documents for potential clients. Ensuring compliance with internal (methodology and risk management) and external (regulatory) requirements. Coaching and assisting more junior trainees on the team, both at client premises and in the office. Participating in group, stream and firm wide activities.  


 line with our 2017 Trainee Programme entry requirements for our Graduate Programme candidates must have, or be on course for the following grades (or international equivalent):

A minimum 2.2 degree in any discipline

3 A levels at grades A*- C, excluding General Studies and Extended Projects

A* - C at GCSE in Maths & English Language
