The Professional Golfers’ Association Ltd (‘The PGA’) is the professional member body for professional golfers in Great Britain and Ireland.

It has been at the heart of the game since 1901, and is the second largest PGA in the world with some 7500 members who work in over 70 countries across the globe. Members have wide career base which includes playing/coaching/retailing/business and golf course management.

The limited by guarantee company is based at the famous Belfry Hotel and golf course (scene of four Ryder Cups) in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, and is a key partner in Ryder Cup Europe LLP, which stages the matches in Europe every 4 years.

The PGA stages over 600 professional golf tournaments pa, delivers a Birmingham University degree for up to 1000 students seeking membership of the Association and trades commercially to fund its activities for its members.

With and annual turnover of circa £12m and a stable, liquid Balance Sheet of £7.6m and 130 employees, the PGA is looking to recruit a trainee accountant based at its national headquarters.

The successful candidate is likely to be a recent graduate with at least a 2:1 honours degree and be seeking an initial training position.
The role provides an opportunity to train and develop on a three year fixed term contract with study support.
