Job Description

Are you an Accounts Junior or Accounts Trainee with at least 2 years experience in a small or medium sized practice firm, who is either AAT qualified or taken the first few exams of the ACA, (or looking to convert from ACCA to the ACA) and looking for your next challenge? Are you keen to work in a role with an August or September 2020 start date? Are you keen to work for an independent accountancy firm in Londons trendy West End where you can finish your ACA exams and be provided with full study support? Are you keen to work for a modern and forward thinking practice that specialises in working with interesting creative, media, entertainment, sport, film and TV clients? Are you keen to continue to learn, develop new skills and work in a firm where you can progress in the future? Reporting directly to Partner level, your role will be varied and will include preparing simple statutory accounts from start to finish, corporation tax returns, some personal tax returns and VAT returns. You will direct contact with clients. There will be a very large advisory element to your role as this firm likes to offer all its clients extra advice after they have carried out compliance work. You will work in a small and friendly team and very quick progression and increased responsibility will be offered to the right candidate.

To be considered for this new role you must have at least 2 years of experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized practice firm. You will either be AAT qualified, or studying for the ACA and be looking to continue with the ACA qualification (or be taking the ACCA and be looking to convert to the ACA). You must have experience of preparing simple statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and some personal tax would be beneficial. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including CCH would be an advantage. A strong interest in working in the West End and working with creative and media clients is desirable. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking for high levels of responsibility from day one.

This growing, modern and forward thinking accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of high profile London and international clients from a wide range of creative sectors. The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. Overall this is a unique opportunity for an Accounts Junior / Accounts Trainee looking for ACA study support, to join an entrepreneurial and forward thinking practice and have great future progression to a higher level on offer.
