Job Description

Are you an Accounts Semi Senior / Trainee Accountant with between 2 to 4 years experience in a small to medium sized accountancy practice firm, looking to work for an independent accountancy firm in Londons trendy West End where you can finish your ICAEW exams? Or are you almost finishing your AAT exams and looking to start the ACA? Are you keen to work for a modern and forward thinking practice that specialises in working with interesting creative, media, entertainment, sport, film and TV clients? Are you looking to work for a firm where you will receive excellent training and support for your ACA exams, and be provided with the opportunity to carry out a varied and interesting role? Are you keen to continue to learn, develop new skills and work in a firm where you can progress in the future? Reporting directly to the manager, your role will be varied and will include preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns and reviewing some VAT assignments. You will be given your own portfolio of clients which you will manage and be responsible for. You will build and develop a strong relationship with all clients in your portfolio. There will be a very large advisory element to your role as this firm likes to offer all its clients extra advice after they have carried out compliance work. You will work in a small and friendly team of 12 staff and very quick progression and increased responsibility will be offered to the right candidate.

To be considered for this new role you must have at least 2 years experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized practice. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns and management accounts would be an advantage but not essential. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Xero for bookkeeping and CCH for accounts production would be an advantage. A strong interest in working in the West End and working with creative clients is desirable. You must either be already studying for the ACA or be AAT qualified and looking to start. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.

This growing and forward thinking accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of high profile London and international clients from a wide range of creative sectors. The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. Overall this is a unique opportunity for an Accounts Semi Senior / Trainee Accountant from a small or medium firm background to join an entrepreneurial and forward thinking practice and have great future progression to a higher level on offer.
