Are you an Accounts Semi Senior or Accounts Assistant with at least 1 - 2 years experience in a small or medium sized practice firm, looking to join a local firm of chartered accountants based in Central Tunbridge Wells, Kent? Are you looking to work in a friendly, professional atmosphere, and work in a mixed general practice role? Would you like to work for an ambitious and growing practice? Are you also looking for a firm which will offer Flexi hours and the ability to work from home a couple of days a week for the foreseeable future? Are you looking for study support for your ICAEW / ACA exams? Are you keen to work in a role with a February 2021 start date? Are you keen to work for a modern and forward thinking practice which uses modern cloud based software, and where you will gain exposure to a variety of clients, including from the creative, property, construction, retail and hospitality sectors? Reporting directly to Manager and Partner level, your role will be varied and will include preparing statutory accounts from start to finish, management accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments. You will be the first point of contact for all clients and eventually you will be given your own small portfolio of clients to manager. There will be a very large advisory element to your role as this firm likes to offer all its clients extra advice after they have carried out compliance work. You will work in a small and friendly team and progression to a higher level will be offered to the right candidate.
To be considered for this new role you must have at least 1 – 2 years of experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized accountancy practice firm. You must be a car driver and live within commutable distance to Central Tunbridge Wells, Kent. It is likely you will be studying for the ACA. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT returns. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including cloud based software, would be an advantage. You must be well presented, ambitious, be a team player, and be looking for high levels of responsibility from day one.
