Audit Semi-Senior

Main duties and responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior to work within our Beverley Office. 

Role responsibilities for the Audit Semi Senior:

  • Accounts preparation for Limited companies
  • Assisting in Audit assignments
  • Ensuring compliance with external (regulatory) and internal (audit methodology and risk management) requirements
  • Identifying and understanding client needs, providing initial solutions to client challenges and communicating these to Audit Seniors/Managers when required
  • Ensuring audit files have all relevant documentation on the appropriate section
  • Analysis of accounting data from client's books and records
  • Working closely with Management to develop ongoing effective relationships with clients, ensuring the retention of business
  • Addressing client issues by researching as appropriate
  • Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations in writing
  • Ensuring all client work is completed within applicable reporting deadlines and client requests
  • Maintaining client files, documentation and confidentiality
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed within specific budgets, keeping the Manager informed at all times of progress of job
  • Assisting junior staff in developing their understanding of the various software packages, auditing, tax laws and statutory requirements
  • Keeping abreast of developments in audit, accounting, taxation and relevant computer software
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Manager

Requirements for the Audit Semi Senior:

  • At least ACCA/ACA part qualified with intermediate experience of working within a practice accountancy firm with a focus on audit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to self-manage and work autonomously with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced computer operational skills MS office, particularly Excel (essential)
  • An effective team member, proactive and motivated
  • Commercially minded, a high level of flexibility and professionalism
  • Confidence with ability to build successful relationships through credibility and mutual trust

Salary - competitive and dependent on experience

Hours –37.5 hours Monday- Frida
