The role:

Trainee Chartered Accountant based in our audit and assurance department working as part of a team to deliver a full list of audit, accounting, taxation and advisory services across a varied client base. A comprehensive training scheme is offered involving full assistance towards professional qualifications and becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW).


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Working as part of a team obtaining audit evidence and carrying out audit testing through communication with client staff;

  • Working as part of a team to ensure our audit files have all relevant evidence to support the opinion on the financial statements;

  • Prepare statutory financial statements from client’s nominal ledger or core books and records;

  • Ensure financial statements comply with regulatory requirements;

  • Analyse the client’s controls for strengths and weaknesses and outline recommendations;

  • Assist the Partner or Manager with any special ad hoc client work required;

  • Study towards completing professional qualifications under the ICAEW;

  • Assist other departments such as private client and accounting services as and when requested to.



Role is available to a graduate or school leaver with a minimum of 300 UCAS points.

UK driving licence preferred but not essential
