What you'll be up to

You will be working with some of the most exciting companies in the UK. You will kick off your training in one of our Audit areas, such as: Private Business, Big Business, Not for Profit, Pensions or CP Futures. This will give you a solid base of business and financial understanding and in a few years, you will be leading and taking charge of teams, not only supporting these clients but also supporting the next generation of CP Trainees. As part of the Audit team, you will be based in the East or West Midlands, and you will have the opportunity to progress into other finance related roles once qualified.

Day to day you can expect:

• Reviewing financial records to identify risks, improvements and ensure records show a “true and fair” financial view

• Working in small teams undertaking financial testing contributing your part to the audit of the company’s financial statements

• Supporting and coaching other Trainees as you progress - going on to lead jobs in your final year

• Studying for your AAT / ACA Chartered Accountant Qualification, over 3 years for a Graduate programme or 4 years as an Apprentice.

You need great attention to detail, a passion for numbers and a knack for following processes within guidelines. With a major part of our work is client based you need to be comfortable approaching clients and asking questions. You need to be curious about companies and see our work as part of their success.

To help set people up for success we prefer students to have a minimum of 112 UCAS points, however – drive and ambition is just as important! As such we welcome applications from all backgrounds. School leavers, graduates, change of career down the line – we want to hear from you!
