Job Description
Being part of our corporate audit team you will need an analytical mind as you work to provide audit and accounting services to a broad range of clients including financial services, technology companies and sports clubs. Your role will involve providing a high quality service to clients in respect of the preparation and audit of statutory accounts.
Core responsibilities
l Understand and act on basic instructions
l Develop a basic understanding of the objectives of an audit
l Understand and perform basic tests from within PROaudit
l Develop elementary knowledge of double entry
l Assist in the call and cast of accounts
l Assist in the preparation of lead schedules and audit work which includes, but is not limited to:
o Completing Statutory sections
o System notes
o Journal testing
o Capital and reserves sections
o Income testing
o Expenses testing
o Bank and cash testing
l Follow any reasonable instruction by the audit Senior
l Assist in the preparation of legible and comprehensive working papers
l Be prepared to travel to client sites as required
l Demonstrate commitment to working as a team to achieve deadlines
l Successfully study towards the CFAB qualification via a Level 4 apprenticeship
Other
l Be aware of and comply with the firm’s policies at all times
l Record time accurately using the Practice Management System (PMS) on a daily basis
l Any other duties appropriate to the level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training
l Be aware of the firm’s risk management and practice assurance procedures and ensure compliance
l Ensure continuing professional development is up to date at all times
Requirements
l 5 GCSE's grade 4-9 with a 6 or above in English Language and Maths (or equivalent)l Minimum of 120 UCAS points (or equivalent), attained or expected
l Competent using MS Office
l Able to work to deadlines
l Team worker
l Good communication and presentation skills
l Strong organisational and time management skills
l Proven planning and prioritising skills
l Able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus
