Working with the senior team; we will develop your knowledge in either Tax or Accounts and Audit and responsibilities will include – 

Tax – 

  • Preparing personal tax returns and corporation on behalf of clients to include collecting initial information from client/accounts team, preparation of tax calculations and preparation of final documents to issue to clients  

  • Providing support to senior team members across all tax related matters, both technical and administrative, to include identifying potential issues and opportunities 

  • Researching specific subject areas and projects to support the senior team and Partners in relation to client advisory tasks 

  • Drafting letters/emails including engagement letters, covering letters/emails, and advice letters/emails 

  • Assisting with the maintenance of client logs for personal and corporation tax returns  

  • Undertaking professional development to stay up to date with the latest tax legislation, guidance and case law, and providing the tax team with any relevant updates 

  • Assisting with general administration duties both within the department and the office 

  • Assisting with overall practice development in terms content for marketing, events, seminars and webinars. 

 

Accounts and Audit – 

  • Assisting with preparing accounts on behalf of multiple clients covering a wide variety of company formats and sizes 

  • Working with accounting software including Sage to provide accounting services for clients 

  • Completing any review recommendations provided by the Accounts and Audit Senior team 

  • Analysing data to determine variances and obtaining reasons for any deviations  

  • Supporting the Audit team with the completion of client Audits including assistance onsite 

  • Preparing compliance related documents for clients to ensure they meet their legal duties  

  • Preparing monthly analysis and reconciliations of financial data for clients 

  • Assisting with general administration duties  

The successful candidates will – 

  • Have a minimum 2:2 degree class; any discipline  

  • Maths & English GSCE (min grade C)  

  • UCAS points – equivalent to 3 A Levels or equivalent qualification 

  • Have strong written and numeracy skills  

  • A full UK driver’s license is desirable 

  • Be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work  

  • Be computer literate  

  • Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills  

  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn
