What is Software Engineering?
Technology is at the heart of what we do and is changing the world like never before, which makes it a really exciting time to join us. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, we are pioneering some of the most advanced tech-enabled solutions to help them solve some of their biggest business challenges and make a difference.
About the Software Engineering degree apprenticeship programme
Our work is both technical and diverse and our Software Engineering apprenticeship is designed to support you on your journey to a successful career in technology. You’ll explore the interaction between technical systems and the workplace and how to leverage them effectively for maximum business impact.
Our software engineers come from a diverse range of backgrounds. Whether fresh out of school or college, or ready to start a new opportunity - we look for people who are curious and passionate about technology; who have a team-first mindset, want to learn, are willing to take on early responsibility and relish solving problems.
Benefits and training
As an apprentice at KPMG, you’ll gain valuable work experience, develop core skills and be supported in your study towards fully funded professional qualifications and accreditations – all whilst earning a salary.
You’ll study towards a BSc (Hons) degree in Digital and Technology Solutions and could find yourself learning specialisms such as software development, Cloud infrastructure, user experience design (UX), testing, coding or project management. Along the way, you’ll also develop technical skills; learning languages including C# with a fast-growing Python base and work towards accreditations through the likes of AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
See our website for further details of entry requirements. We will however look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. See our ‘How to Apply’ sections for further guidance.
