Job Description
We have a vacancy for a full- time payroll assistant to work with our expanding payroll and tax department here in Canterbury.
Working with the team you will receive relevant training and assist our clients with their payroll needs.
The role will include the following:
- Processing of time sheets from client information;
- Processing of client payrolls on a weekly/ monthly basis;
- Communicate with clients on their payroll queries;
- General admin. duties associated with payroll and tax
- Reporting to the payroll and tax supervisors.
We will provide training to help you with the role and also the after a period of probation, the opportunity to train towards the Payroll Professional qualifications.
Skills required for the role:
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision;
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload;
- Attention to detail;
- Competent working knowledge of MS Excel;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least a C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Sage payroll would be beneficial but not a requirement
