Job Description
Want a career in accountancy that sets you apart?
Our first-class ACA training programme enables you to develop into a Chartered Accountant in an ambitious and forward-thinking business within three years.
But it doesn’t stop there. Our approach to trainee recruitment focuses on long-term investment. We look for aspiring managers, directors and partners who will contribute to the growth and success of our business whilst developing their own rewarding careers.
Why join our team?
Joining our Restructuring team will give you the opportunity to work on a range of interesting restructuring assignments, enabling you to build skills and experience, and in time become an expert within this area.
Supported by an approachable management team, you will often be working with clients whose businesses are facing challenging and difficult times, so adopting an empathic yet commercial approach to your work will be essential.
Typical tasks that you will get involved in will include:
- Advising clients on the effective management of cash and working capital
- Guiding businesses through an insolvency or winding-up process
- Advising on areas for business improvement
- Co-ordinating the sale of an organisations assets and paying creditors
- Advising on the renegotiation of existing finances
- Explaining legislation and timescales for legal procedures
You will get to do all of this, whilst studying for your ACA qualification as part of a Level 7 Apprenticeship.
But it's not all about work. Our trainees are all encouraged to make a wider contribution through business development activities, and wider initiatives such as CSR, diversity and sports and social activities. This allows you to develop into both technical experts and the future leaders of our business.
We know this gives our business a refreshingly different, people-focussed culture. It is no coincidence then, that for five years running we've been ranked as a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For.
Sounds good? – then show us what you’re made of…
We’re looking for ambitious, hardworking and self-motivated people with excellent communication skills. Our minimum requirements are:
- 2:2 degree in any discipline (or equivalent)
- 112 (280) UCAS points, excluding general studies (obtained in the same year)
- Full Driving Licence
How to apply: Please submit a full CV along with a covering letter stating “Why you want to train to be an accountant within our Restructuring team”. Please ensure your CV states all qualifications including subjects and grades.
